Reservations
Pavilion reservations can be made in the office of the James A. Rutherford Community Center in Patch Reef Park.
Patch Reef Park has 8 picnic pavilions, which have charcoal barbecue grills, available for rental. Pavilions may be reserved up to 3 months in advance. Applicant must provide necessary residency requirements and pay fees at time reservations are made. There are no refunds. Call 561-367-7035 to check pavilion availability.
October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021. City of Boca Raton & Greater Boca Raton and Beach and Park District residents may purchase an annual permit for: Spanish River, Red Reef and South Beach Parks. Where the reef is separated from land by a lagoon or open water it is called a barrier reef. Coral reef atolls are almost exclusively a feature of the Pacific where they form rings of coral up to several kilometers in diameter around open sea or sandy islands. The coral reefs of the Dutch Caribbean are very diverse.

Eastern Standard Time (first Sunday in November to the first Saturday in March):
Monday - Saturday: 8:00am-11:00pm, Reservations until 10:30pm
Sunday: 8:00am-6:00pm, Reservations until 5:30pm
Daylight Savings Time (second Sunday in March to the first Saturday in November):
Monday - Saturday: 8:00am - 11:00pm, Reservations until 10:30pm
Sunday: 8:00am-8:00pm, Reservations until 7:30pm
Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day:
8:00am-6:00pm, Reservations until 5:30pm
Rules
- No alcoholic beverages.
- No pets or animals of any kind, such as pony rides, petting zoos, or reptile shows.
- No smoking. Patch Reef Park is designated as a non-smoking park.
- No kite flying or remote controlled model planes.
- No golf.
- No baseball except on baseball fields.
- Bounce houses are only permitted with a Special Event Permit. Special Event Permit forms are available in the office at the James A. Rutherford Community Center located in Patch Reef Park.

Our outdoor fitness stations are a great way to get and stay fit for people who want to combine the benefits of a fitness program with fresh air & sunshine. The 1.8 mile trail is great for all fitness levels. Whether you are a beginner or a star athlete our 17 activity stations give you a complete workout. Each station includes a sign explaining the benefits of the exercise and the muscle groups worked and instructions and illustrations for that station’s exercises.
Use your Smartphone’s camera to scan our unique QR Codes. Each code downloads to a free (standard cell phone data usage rates apply) one minute exercise video including your own personal trainer, motivating you through each exercise’s pacing, modification & technique. Station signs contain 4 videos: Upper Body, Lower Body, Core Body & Flexibility.
